AKIPRESS.COM - Fourteen young Kyrgyzstanis from across the country presented projects in graphic design and content management at the graduation ceremony of the job skills program Academy for Creative Professions on July 28 at Ololo Planet.
Jury panels comprised of experts from private companies and representatives from the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic evaluated the projects.
From 2022 to 2023, about three hundred students studied graphic design and content management through free, three-month-long online courses
In addition to digital skills training, students received coaching on compiling work portfolios, developing CVs, and preparing for job interviews. Participants who successfully completed the coursework received certificates, and the Academy helped disseminate their work portfolios. At the graduation ceremony, the top 14 graduates presented their final projects before panels of judges. The event also included free master classes led by Askar Turdugulov, head of the “New Age” public foundation, and Mikhail Efimenko, co-founder of the Tart Creative design studio.
The “Academy of Creative Professions” provides job skills training to young people in the Kyrgyz Republic that help them overcome barriers to employment and allow them to work successfully and independently online. More than 1,300 students received training in graphic design, web development, digital marketing, video production, and content management since the program’s start in 2020. Graduates of the program have found new employment, completed internships, and increased their income as a result of the training they received.
