AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of Qatar Investment Authority, Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani, as part of the business program of the state visit to Qatar.

The agency is one of the leading investment holdings at the global level, with extensive experience in promoting large projects in industry, infrastructure development, energy, real estate, and electronic technologies. The head of the Qatar Investment Authority is also the Chairman of the Qatar Central Bank, UzA reported.

The parties considered issues of attracting direct investment from the agency in the implementation of investment projects, such as the construction of green energy facilities - solar and wind stations in the regions of the country, modernization of transport infrastructure, including the construction of modern air terminals, and others.

Interest was expressed in exchanging experience in developing advanced banking and financial services, including within the framework of Islamic finance programs.

The sides agreed to hold a meeting of the bilateral group soon to implement joint projects.
