AKIPRESS.COM - Tashkent hosts a workshop of Central Asia and Europe national football associations, conducted by FIFA, UzA reports.

The event with the participation of authorized national football associations of Uzbekistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Austria, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Hungary, as well as specialists from FIFA, UEFA, AFC, CAFA was opened by First Vice-President of Uzbekistan Football Association Ravshan Irmatov.

It is planned to discuss such issues as holding international competitions and events in futsal, women's and children's football at a high level, optimizing football infrastructure and financial investments, and mutual exchange of experience.

Uzbekistan has developed several initiatives in football sphere in recent years. The number of national teams of various age categories has increased from 8 to 19. The number of coaches working with them has increased fivefold. Cooperation between Uzbekistan and FIFA has reached a new stage. Uzbekistan also won the right to host the Futsal World Cup in 2024 for the first time in history.
