Mongolia to declare 2024 Mongolian-German Education Cooperation Year

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Education and Science Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren received newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Mongolia Helmut Rudolf Kulitz.

Minister Enkh-Amgalan thanked Germany for maintaining long-term close cooperation in the field of education. The Minister emphasized the success of joint projects in the field of technical and vocational education. He noted that the Mongolian government will declare 2024 the "Mongolian-German Education Cooperation Year" as part of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Currently, Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training (cTVET) project and German Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) project are being implemented. According to the Negotiation on Development Cooperation between the government of Mongolia and the government of Germany, which was was signed earlier this September in Ulaanbaatar, these two projects will be implemented until 2026. 

The parties exchanged views on cooperation under the President's Message-2,100 scholarship program, and the preparation of 1,000 engineers in Germany initiated by the Prime Minister of Mongolia, as well as the organization of the Saxony Education Day fair this November in Ulaanbaatar by the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia.
