
AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekipaksanoat Association hosted a meeting with representatives and experts of the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA, UzA reported.
The parties discussed holding a workshop on the pre-processing of cocoons for farmers, industry specialists, and home-based workers in October.
Professor Shinbo Hiroshi, who has been involved in scientific activities in sericulture for more than 50 years, addressed the meeting. He shared scientific research on identifying F1 hybrids, creating artificial feed for silkworms, using new technologies to obtain silk with new properties, and using protein compounds in pharmaceuticals.
The sides also considered the possibilities of establishing bilateral cooperation to conduct joint scientific research in sericulture technology.
