Deputy Governor of the capital, Z. Tumurtumuu, emphasized that friendly relations and cooperation between the two cities has expanded in the fields of trade, economy, culture, education, health, and tourism. He expressed the capital's readiness to continue to cooperate in many directions.
The representatives of Hohhot expressed intention to cooperate in many fields, starting with increasing the green areas in the capital.
Ulaanbaatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hohhot to establish sister-city relations on December 10, 1991. The Mayors of the two cities signed a new Memorandum of Understanding on the expansion of friendly relations and cooperation on the 30th anniversary of sister-city relations in 2021.
