
AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene handed over a seal to newly appointed Governor of Ulaanbaatar Kh. Nyambaatar, GoGoMongolia reported.
"Kh. Nyambaatar is being appointed as the Governor of the Capital and the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar within the framework of his authority reflected in the Constitution of Mongolia. I hope that he will pay attention to the problem of corruption that has been accumulated and rotten for more than 30 years," the Prime Minister said.
The PM also ordered the new mayor to develop long-term, medium-term and short-term reform planning within the framework of "Vision-2050" and "New Revival Policy", and make it approved by the Parliament and the government before the fall session ends.
"I have accepted the responsibility of solving rotten problems and approving policy documents in a city with a population of 1.7 million. I would like to express that I will work closely with the Parliament and the government to ensure the basic rights of citizens to live healthy and safe lives," Kh. Nyambaatar said.
