AKIPRESS.COM - The revenue of the health insurance fund was 1.1 trillion tugriks in the first nine months of this year, the General Authority of Health Insurance reported. 

This number increased by 139 billion tugriks (13%) compared to last year. Expenditure of services of the health insurance fund reached 1.2 trillion tugriks, which decreased by 127 billion tugriks (9%).

The increase is influenced by fees paid by the state budget to citizens, amounts 151 billion tugriks, which increased by 28 billion tugriks (23%).

3.7 million people were insured with health insurance in September 2023, which is an increase of 109,000 (3.1%). This growth was mainly influenced by the increase of 38,300 (3.8%) citizens whose insurance was paid by employers and insurers, and by 73,500 (3.3%) citizens whose insurance was paid by the state budget.
