AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the U.S. delegation led by Administrator of the Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power on October 23, UzA said.

The U.S. delegation has arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the Ministerial Meeting of Central Asian countries and the United States on development issues.

The sides considered issues of further developing constructive and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.

Together with USAID, projects in healthcare, education, green energy, agribusiness, and other areas are being implemented in Uzbekistan.

The parties exchanged views on the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the summit of heads of state in the C5+1 format on the sidelines of the session of the UN General Assembly in New York in September this year.
