To address these problems, we have submitted a Law on Alleviating Traffic Congestion and Constructing Comfortable Apartments in the Ger Districts to the government of Mongolia. The adoption of this law will create an opportunity to replan the Ger Districts and tackle air pollution and traffic jams," Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Kh. Nyambaatar said.
"The UK has a wealth of experience, research, and feasibility studies in public transport. We are therefore well-positioned to cooperate in the field of reducing air pollution and addressing traffic jams, replanning of the Ger Districts, and can offer additional sources of funding," UK Minister of State at the Department for Business and Trade, Minister of State for the Investment Security Unit Nusrat Ghani noted.
The parties affirmed their willingness to continue exchanging views on future cooperation and upcoming projects.
