AKIPRESS.COM - The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures a broad basket of common goods and services, rose by 9% in Mongolia in October compared to the same period a year ago. The National Statistic Office of Mongolia reported an increase of 6.7% from the end of last year, and 0.3% increase from the last month, Montsame reported.
The CPI had risen 9% in October due to an increase of 14.7% in food and non-alcoholic beverages, 6.4% in alcoholic beverages and tobacco, 7.4% in clothing and footwear, 3.3% in housing, water, electricity and other fuels, 7.5% in furniture and household appliances, 7.6% in medicine and medical care service, 16.9% in restaurants and hotels, and 16.8% in education.
