AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov called on the Economic Cooperation Organization member states to develop cross-border trade and partnership in the field of small and medium-sized businesses.
The head of Turkmenistan said during the 16th ECO Summit in Tashkent that in order to increase trade turnover between the ECO countries, it is necessary to actively use the opportunities of cross-border and regional trade.
The Turkmen leader emphasized that it is necessary to create a favourable transboundary environment and stimulate regional cooperation, which is a system of contractual advantages and priorities.
"We attach great importance to intensifying business relations through small and medium-sized businesses, production of certain types of industrial goods, agricultural products, establishing cooperation in the service sector and other areas," President Berdimuhamedov said.
In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan proposed to consider the proposal to create a portal, which will include specific information, proposals, business projects and other necessary information for wider awareness of the opportunities and intentions of countries in terms of expanding multilateral cooperation.
