
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Dubai from November 30 to December 2 to attend the UN Climate Change Conference at the invitation of President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UzA reported.
The Climate Change Conference will be attended by heads of state and government from more than 150 countries, heads of authoritative international organizations, and financial institutions.
The agenda of the event includes issues of implementing the main provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, countering modern environmental challenges and threats, and broad international cooperation to promote the goals and objectives of green development.
The President of Uzbekistan will address the summit's plenary session and hold several bilateral meetings and talks.
Uzbekistan joined the UN Framework Convention in 1993. The country became a party to the Paris Agreement in 2018.
