Mongolia and Uzbekistan to launch joint economic programs

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of World Climate Action Summit (WCAS) of the United Nations Climate Change Conference – COP 28 in Dubai on December 1, Montsame reports.

President U. Khurelsukh expressed desire to expand friendly relations and cooperation and strengthen political dialogue, and ties between citizens with Uzbekistan.

The heads of state of the two countries expressed the commitments of Mongolia and Uzbekistan, as landlocked developing countries, to share their development experiences and further develop cooperation in key sectors such as tourism, agriculture, light industry, transport, and logistics.

In addition, the Presidents agreed to implement joint projects and programs in the fields of agriculture and light industry, to establish a Program for the Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation between Mongolia and Uzbekistan in near future, and to expand cooperation on the regional and international platforms.

President Sh. Mirziyoyev invited President Khurelsukh to visit Uzbekistan at his convenience.
