
AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa met Chief Executive Officer of the Nature Conservancy Jennifer Morris during the high-level Conference on Climate Change – COP 28 in Dubai from November 30 to December 12, Montsame said.
President U. Khurelsukh expressed satisfaction with the Nature Conservancy, which closely cooperates with Mongolian public and private organizations in ecology, quality evaluation of desert and steppe ecological regions and research to determine the areas that need protection, implementation of projects and programs, providing professional advice and assistance.
Jennifer Morris expressed support for the Mongolian President's environmental policies and expressed interest in expanding the scope of cooperation.
The Nature Conservancy is a leading conservation organization working in 74 countries to combat climate change, protect lands and waters, ensure sustainable food and water consumption, and build healthy cities.
The Nature Conservancy began working in Mongolia in 2008 with the goal of protecting 30% of the grasslands by 2030. It cooperates with state, private, and civil society organizations to fulfill these goals.
