AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia held the political consultations in Dushanbe on December 6, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reports.

The consultations were led by Head of the Department of European and American Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sohibnazar Gayratsho and First Manager of the Department of Bilateral Relations of the Ministry Foreign Affairs of Latvia Uldis Mikuts.

The sides discussed the current situation and prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two countries in areas of the politics, economics, transport, regional security, as well as cooperation between Tajikistan and Latvia within the EU and other international and regional organizations during the political consultations.

The parties expressed their readiness and desire to further expand friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.
