Students from Uzbekistan attend Talent and Green Summit as part of COP28

AKIPRESS.COM - Eight students from universities in Uzbekistan were invited to take part in the educational Seeds Tour on December 3-8, UzA reports.

The tour is organized for distinguished participants of the "Seeds for the Future" program and is held during the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Dubai, UAE.

Representatives of the "Techno Mind" team, who won the regional "Tech4Good" competition in Doha, Qatar, and Dubai, UAE, went on the trip as part of the "Seeds for the Future" educational program this September. "Techno Mind' included students from the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha University in Tashkent, Amity University in Tashkent, Kimyo International University in Tashkent, and New Uzbekistan University.

One of the main events of the tour was the Talent and Green Summit, which took place on December 5 and brought together 36 participants of the "Seeds for the Future" program from 22 countries. Scientists from international organizations, professors from academic institutions, and Huawei experts took part in the summit. Participants discussed the need to develop digital skills among young people and use digital technologies to address the challenges of climate change.

The team leader of the "Techno Mind" team, a student of Inha University in Tashkent Nodira Otabekova, spoke at the summit and presented the "Aquatibia" project, which was recognized as the best idea at the "Tech4Good" competition.

Participants also visited the exhibition in the green zone at COP28 in Expo City Dubai as part of the tour and got acquainted with the work of one of the leaders in gaming development Sawa Group.
