Mongolia introduces law on pets

AKIPRESS.COM - The draft law on pets regulating the protection of public health, registration, guardianship, temporary care, breeding, protection from violence and reduction of the number of stray animals was approved at the session of the Parliament of Mongolia, GoGoMongolia reports.

Now the legal guardians have to be 18 years of age, have full legal capacity, have a source of income to provide food and shelter for a pet, cover health care and services, and have attended dog and cat guardian training.

Pet need to have appropriate equipment such as a collar, muzzle and bag when traveling in public. Guardian can travel with pets freely in public places, residential areas, streets. Guardian can demand the removal of damage caused by others to the life and health of the pet.
