
AKIPRESS.COM - The Second Meeting of the Joint Steering Committee of the government of Mongolia and the United Nations (UN) to ensure the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-2027 was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia on December 11, Montsame reported.
The actions taken by the UN in Mongolia were presented in the spheres of human development and well-being, sustainable growth, people-centred governance, rule of law, and human rights.
The sides emphasized the crucial role of coordination between the 12 accelerators to intensify the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, and the effective implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-20270 in 2024.
Mongolia and the United Nations signed the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2023-2027) on May 20, 2022. The Joint Steering Committee is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Document, providing guidelines, and making recommendations in line with national development priorities and regional and international development trends.
