AKIPRESS.COM - Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN Jonibek Hikmat had a meeting with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed on December 15, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations, with a particular focus on water and climate change as well as the situation in Afghanistan.

Regarding water and climate, the sides emphasized the importance of following up of the outcomes of the UN 2023 Water Conference and expressed their readiness to continue and further enhance cooperation in this field.
