Samarkand hosts FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championships

AKIPRESS.COM - The 6th FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championships started in Samarkand, UzA reports.
Chairman of Uzbekistan Chess Federation Alisher Sadullayev and FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich made the first move.
In the first round of the rapid competition, Nodirbek Abdusattarov from Uzbekistan defeated Liam Vrolijk.
