14 documents signed at Uzbekistan-Japan Business Forum

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan-Japan Business Forum was held in Tashkent. The event was organized as part of the visit of the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Ryosuke Kozuki, UzA reported.

It was attended by heads of relevant ministries and agencies, industry associations, and representatives of about 200 large companies of the two countries operating in IT, energy, digital transformation, healthcare, agriculture, electrical engineering, medicine, and pharmaceuticals, as well as other areas.

The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Ryosuke Kozuki.

The high level of trust between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Japan was emphasized, which is one of the fundamental factors in the positive dynamics of developing relations between the two states.

The importance of intensifying direct contact between representatives of the business circles of the two countries and mutual readiness to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of all joint projects and initiatives were emphasized.

IT, alternative energy, education, medicine, tourism, and digitalization were identified as the most promising areas for implementing joint investment projects.

Sessions were held on “Prospects for Energy Transformation” and “Digital Transformation in Industrial Development. Japanese startups as a tool for developing the economy of Uzbekistan”.

G2B and B2B meetings were also organized, where participants discussed creating joint ventures and concluding mutually beneficial trade agreements.

Following the forum, 14 documents on education, IT technologies, alternative energy, and space technologies in geodesy and cartography were signed. An action plan was developed, in accordance with which comprehensive support will be provided in the implementation of each project.
