Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan discuss developing cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Kurbanov met with Ambassador of Kazakhstan Askar Tajibaev on January 9, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.

The parties discussed the prospects for strengthening relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan on a wide range of bilateral cooperation.

The diplomats reviewed the progress of the practical implementation of bilateral agreements reached during the high-level visits and discussed the prospects for Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation for 2024. They noted the importance of political consultations, as well as the need to organize regular bilateral visits and contacts at the highest level.

The sides also emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and holding regular meetings and consultations between parliamentarians of the two countries.

Positive experience of cooperation and mutual support within the framework of authoritative international organizations, including the OSCE, UN, OIC and others, was stated.
