AKIPRESS.COM - Capital Governor and Ulaanbaatar City Mayor Kh. Nyambaatar, along with relevant officials, received the representatives of Singapore's ST Engineering company, Montsame reports.
The parties discussed cooperation in establishing a unified camera control center for Ulaanbaatar city cameras. ST Engineering company, which operates in the fields of aviation, smart cities, public safety, and defense, provides services to customers in more than 100 countries and has implemented smart city projects in more than 130 countries.
"In our country, cameras were installed in 2000, but currently, about 50% of the cameras in the capital do not meet operational requirements and are not coordinated with each other. Therefore, it is necessary to address the issues within the camera system and establish a unified Camera Control Center that connects all the cameras in the city. Public transport, taxi services, and private sector cameras will also be connected," Mayor Kh.Nyambaatar stated.
"Since 2002, our organization has been collaborating with the city of Ulaanbaatar in crime prevention and staff empowerment. We are pleased to cooperate in establishing a unified camera control center of Ulaanbaatar city and updating the Rapid Control Center under the Traffic Police Department. We will promptly submit a range of suggestions and recommendations and collaborate closely in implementing them," Derick Ding, the founder and executive director of the Singapore Academy of Security, Intelligence, and Risk Studies, said.
