AKIPRESS.COM - The 5th meeting of the Regular Meeting Mechanism between the Parliament of Mongolia and the National People's Congress of China took place in Beijing, Montsame reports.

The sides exchanged opinions on cooperation between parliaments and Standing Committees of the two countries, trade, economy, investment, green development, combating desertification, energy, and border ports, and agreed to give support to the further development of cooperation.

Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia Munkhbaatar Lkhagva met with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China Zhao Leji and conveyed the greetings of Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav.

The representatives of the two countries emphasized that they are holding the meeting on the eve of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China, the 30th anniversary of the agreement of friendly relations and cooperation, the 10th anniversary of Mongolia-China relations reaching the level of comprehensive strategic partnership, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Regular Meeting Mechanism.

Following the Memorandum of Understanding on the Regular Meeting Mechanism between the Parliament of Mongolia and the National People's Congress of China established in 2014, the meeting has been held for the fifth time and is significant to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Mongolia and China and strengthen the cooperation.
