AKIPRESS.COM - The Iman sewing workshop in the city of Jalal-Abad has been producing special beds for domestic cats and dogs for two years and exporting them to Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus.
Recently, an order from South America came. According to the workshop's technologist Tahmina Vakhapova, the sewn products are mainly sent to pet stores in the mentioned countries, and they have regular customers.
"Puppies, dogs, and cats have their own sizes, so we sew corresponding beds for them in different colors. Many order pink if it's a female. We mainly produce them in green, brown, black, and gray colors. We try to use clean materials, primarily cotton. There are cases when synthetic materials cause allergies in cats, so we take that into account. We know that pets are kept in homes. They must have accepted our mattresses as their sleeping place. For example, we also have a cat at home. I made such a sleeping place for her. She's already used to it and especially loves to sleep on it in winter," the technologist shared.
Orders for dog and cat products are particularly common in winter, and they sometimes receive orders for up to 3,000 pieces.
Vakhapova learned to sew while working in Russia. Currently, 5-6 people are constantly working in the Iman workshop and they earn depending on the amount of work done. They receive orders throughout the year, she added.
