AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Turkmenistan Shalar Geldynazarov presented credentials to President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Palace in Colombo on February 1, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

The Ambassador conveyed greetings to the President of Sri Lanka on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the People's Assembly Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In turn, President Ranil Wickremesinghe conveyed his best wishes to the top leadership of Turkmenistan, as well as to the Turkmen people.

During the brief conversation, it was emphasized that the countries have opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation. It was noted that Turkmenistan is a reliable partner for Sri Lanka in the Central Asian region.
