AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision shared photos of wild animals in the Kan-Achuu state nature park.
The nature park is located in Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad region. The park is home to snow leopards, bears, mountain goats, marmots, and more than 100 species of plants, 30 of which are in the Red Book. Among the birds that live in Kan-Achuu are partridges, quails, pheasants, hawks, eagles, pigeons and others.
The park was created by decree of the government of Kyrgyzstan in 2016 to protect rare and endangered species of flora and fauna, the Ministry of Natural Resources reported.
