AKIPRESS.COM - Director of the International Institute for Central Asia Javlon Vakhabov met with Ambassador of Egypt Amira Fahmy to discuss cooperation prospects, UzA reports.
The parties noted the fruitful interaction between the two countries during Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Cairo in February 2023. During the visit, agreements were reached to create favorable conditions for attracting mutual investments in the gas, chemical, textile, electrical, jewelry, and pharmaceutical industries.
The importance of agreements to enhance cultural and humanitarian ties was also emphasized. An agreement was noted on the development of cooperation in training specialists in the Arabic language and the joint organization of the Global Forum of Arabists this year.
The sides considered current international and regional issues. The development of mutual support within international organizations such as the UN, OIC, and SCO was noted.
The diplomats agreed to intensify exchanges between research institutions to promote common regional priorities. The Ambassador expressed her readiness to strengthen cooperation between IICA and leading think tanks in Egypt further.
