AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian athlete Ermuun Altantuya topped the podium at the Winter Swimming World Championships 2024 in Tallinn, Estonia, on March 4-10, Montsame reported.
Over 1,500 athletes from 40 countries took part in the Winter Swimming World Championships.
A. Ermuun, a nineteen-year-old athlete from the Bayangol district water sports training center, secured a gold medal in the 25-meter ice butterfly, a silver in the 25-meter freestyle, and a bronze in the 50-meter freestyle. He became the first Mongolian athlete to become the Winter Swimming World Champion.
Munkh-Orgil Sodbayar claimed two silver medals in the 25- and 50-meter breaststroke.
