AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Aleinik is paying an official visit to Mongolia on March 14-17 at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Montsame reports.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Aleinik paid a courtesy call on President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa on March 15.

Head of State of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa identified potential for implementing joint projects under the Mongolia's National Campaigns "One Billion Trees" and "Food Supply and Security," including establishing a complex in Mongolia for growing potted tree seedlings and increasing the production of staple food products, such as milk and dairy products.

The meeting touched upon the effective implementation of the high-level visit planned for the near future, issues of mutual interest, and relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Belarus.

It is the second visit at the level of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus to Mongolia after 28 years. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Uladzimir Syanko paid the first official visit to Mongolia in 1996. The Belarusian delegation comprises of the Deputy Minister of Industry, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, and more than 20 business representatives.
