
AKIPRESS.COM - "Fraternal country Kazakhstan was affected by the natural disaster, the state is in a difficult situation," MP Dastan Jumabekov said at the plenary session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on April 4.
The lawmaker has asked Cabinet Chairman Akylbek Japarov to provide aid to people of Kazakhstan.
Akylbek Japarov reminded that after the accident at the Bishkek combined heat and power plant, Kazakhstan sent aid to Kyrgyzstan.
"Following the instruction of the President, a convoy of aid is being prepared under control of the Minister of Emergency Situations. We have not asked for help, but they lent a helping hand. Kazakhstan has not asked for help this time also, but we will send humanitarian aid in next few days," the Cabinet Chairman said.
The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan will visit Kyrgyzstan on April 8. It will be discussed in details what other aid is needed from Kyrgyzstan, the Cabinet Chairman stated.
