AKIPRESS.COM - A delegation led by Rector of Italy's Tuscia University Stefano Ubertini visited Samarkand State University, UzA reports.

The delegation was met by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Akmal Akhatov. The parties discussed opening an Italian educational center at SamSU and organizing joint academic programs for bachelor's and master's degrees.

The sides agreed to establish an exchange of teaching staff and students, and organize short-term summer courses. They also exchanged views on conducting scientific research on current topics and developing joint large-scale projects.

An agreement was reached to organize Tuscia Days at Samarkand State University this June, launch student exchange programs, and open joint educational programs.

The two universities signed a Memorandum of Cooperation following the meeting.
