
AKIPRESS.COM - Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Parliament of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Ismoilov met with members of the delegation led by Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili, UzA reports.
The diplomats considered issues of further enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia, enriching it with new content, and exchanging experience in rule-making.
Shalva Papuashvili noted that the consistent continuation of meetings in a practical spirit and strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation serve both sides' interests.
The parties also discussed enhancing the scope of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries and relations in transport and communications, textiles, electrical engineering, tourism, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres.
The sides agreed to take cooperation to a new level.
