
AKIPRESS.COM - Ulaanbaatar purchased and put into service 600 new buses from December last year, news.mn reports.
In order to put 600 buses into service, the city authorities decided to provide free training for qualified bus drivers who have class B and C driving rights, increase the salary of drivers, and create conditions for working in two shifts.
A total of 1,807 citizens registered for the training, and more than 400 participated in the first round. Currently, 129 of them have started working.
The bus driver's salary was increased from 1.5-2.5 million to 3-3.5 million.
Half of the population of Mongolia lives in the capital city.
