AKIPRESS.COM - Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to ESCAP Ardasher Qodiri attended the 80th session of ESCAP in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 22-23, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.

The Permanent Representative of Tajikistan addressed the session, focusing on leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific, as well as issues concerning Least Developed, Landlocked Developing, and Small Island Developing States.

During his speeches, Tajikistan's representative highlighted national initiatives and strategies aligning with SDGs on both national and international fronts. He highlighted key programs like the Concept of the Digital Economy, the Medium-Term Development Program for the Digital Economy (2021-2025), and the formation of e-Government. Ardasher Qodiri also stressed Tajikistan's contributions to the Water Action Decade and Agenda, stemming from the UN's 2023 Water Conference.

The Representative extended an invitation to the LLDCs, ESCAP members, and associate members to actively participate in the upcoming Third High-Level International Conference "Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028".
