Civil migration is suspended for 60 days before voting according to the Electoral Law, news.mn reports. This year, civil migration will be closed from April 29 to June 29. Previously, migration was suspended from February 1, but citizens have complained that it is too early. Problems related to registration of children's schools and kindergartens arose due to the migration veto.
A voter list is prepared based on the voter's permanent address. Citizens are recommended to register the migration before the specified period.
Mongolian citizens living abroad will vote from June 20 to June 23.
1,730,000 citizens are registered in the capital of Mongolia. 1 million 940,000 voters are registered in the preliminary voter list in the whole country.
