Exhibition dedicated to Qatar's nomadic way of life and culture opens in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - The National Museum of Qatar's "On the Move" exhibition opened at the National Museum of Mongolia on May 2, Montsame reports.

The exhibition is organized under the sponsorship of the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It displays 50 exhibits from the National Museum of Qatar, such as artifacts, historical photographs, and documentary films depicting the life and culture of herders before the oil extractions began.

Deputy Minister of Culture of Mongolia Battur Purevsuren and Director of the National Museum of Qatar Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani gave speeches at the opening ceremony, and actors of the Mongolian Grand Theater of National Arts demonstrated performance.

Director of the National Museum of Qatar Director Sheikha Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani, Deputy Director of Curatorial Affairs of the National Museum Tania Al Majid, Head of Conservation of National Museum Sunghyun Im, and Society and Oral History Researcher Najma Ahmed attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

The exhibition will be open to the public at the National Museum of Mongolia until August 11.
