
AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian business representatives held a meeting with officials from the Uzbek delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov, who is on an official visit to Mongolia, on May 9, Montsame reports.
The two sides exchanged views on trade and economic cooperation between Mongolia and Uzbekistan.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov emphasized the significance of expanding trade and economic cooperation with Mongolia, stating that these are the priority of the bilateral relations between the two countries. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of investment issues and referenced the Astana Investment Forum as an example. At this forum, participants from 97 countries signed investment agreements totaling $27 billion.
At the Mongolia-Uzbekistan business meeting, representatives from Mongolian companies "Mongol Basalt" LLC, "Tavan Bogd Solutions" LLC, and "MCS Investment" LLC presented their cooperation projects. They also expressed their interest in expanding into the Uzbekistani market.
