Mongolia and JICA plan to cooperate on food safety

AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of the Parliament of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav received a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) led by Senior Advisor on Agriculture of the JICA Shunichi Nakada on May 14, Montsame reports.

Chairman Zandanshatar noted the crucial role of Senior Advisor on Agriculture Shunichi Nakada's research on the transition from predominant food consumption to non-food consumption in the development of Mongolia.

"JICA is committed to sharing our best practices with the international community. We have studied the situation in Mongolia and prepared information on Japan's agricultural development, including its current state, the structure of relevant organizations, cooperatives, and other units, as well as food safety practices. We look forward to continued cooperation with Mongolia in the future," said Senior Advisor on Agriculture Shunichi Nakada.

Speaker Zandanshatar expressed eagerness to organize a discussion based on Shunichi Nakada's study. This discussion is carried out in the context of the Mongolian Parliament debating the draft Law on the Legal Status of Herders.
