AKIPRESS.COM - A video was posted on social networks depicting a running bear and people running away from it in Uzbekistan.

The bear entered the Zhannatmakon mahalla in Sariosiyo district of Surkhandarya region on May 15, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change said.

The animal was on the territory of residential buildings, putting people's lives at risk, the Ministry stated.

"The police tried to stop the bear, but the animal attacked and injured one of the officers. The bear also entered the territory of school No. 74, where students were at that moment. The bear was aggressive and threatened the lives of students, so the animal was shot," the Ministry added.
