
AKIPRESS.COM - 72 crypto exchange offices and 2 crypto exchanges have received a license since March 2023, Head of the State Financial Intelligence Service Tilek Sayakbaev told Tazabek on the sidelines of the 3rd forum of parliamentarians of the members states of the Eurasian group on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism.
"We assessed risks, threats, vulnerabilities and consequences. Based on this, recommendations were developed, which we shared with key bodies, including the parliament, to develop further legislative initiatives. This is normal worldwide practice. We have our own methodology, technologies and even partners who help in every possible way. We want crypto exchange offices and crypto exchanges to receive licenses and work with reliable partners from abroad," the official explained.
