This year's Consultative Committee Meeting is convening under the theme "Envisioning a Region with Joint Forces Against Drugs: Stronger through Prevention and Treatment".
The participants are discussing engagement in a thorough review of economic and social progress since the last CCM, focusing on future priorities, resource optimization strategies, and the enhancement of technical cooperation programs for optimal impact.
Mongolia joined the Colombo Plan, a regional organization in Asia and the Pacific with 28 member states, in 2004.
The Colombo Plan is a regional intergovernmental organization that began operations on July 1, 1951. The organization was conceived at an international conference, The Commonwealth Conference on Foreign Affairs held in Colombo, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) in January 1950.
The organization is focused on the development of human resources in the south and southeast regions of Asia.
