Mongolian athlete wins 9 medals of Malaysian Open Swimming Championship

AKIPRESS.COM - International Master of Sports in Swimming of Mongolia Enkhkhuslen Batbayar won nine medals at the 66th Malaysian Open Swimming Championship 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Montsame reports.

In particular, Enkhkhuslen won six gold, two silver, and one bronze medal, and set new Mongolian National Records in six different distances and categories in the 50-meter pool.

The athlete won the national championship and broke 4 national records in 2015. She won 30 gold medals at the national championship.

Since starting her swimming career in 2012, B. Enkhkhuslen has set 26 national swimming records of Mongolia.

Last year, she ranked among the top eight in the swimming category at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, marking the highest achievement for Mongolian swimmers. The athlete became the first Mongolian swimmer to meet the "B" qualifying standard for the World Championship and participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
