Belarus and Mongolia to cooperate in maintaining peace and security

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus Ivan Kubrakov held a working meeting with the Mongolian colleagues, sb.by reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

Minister Ivan Kubrakov noted that Belarus highly values ​​relations with Mongolia at the meeting with Deputy Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Solongoo Bayarsaikhan, which was also attended by Police Chief Sukhbold Tomorbaatar. Both countries have the potential to develop cooperation in various spheres, including in solving problems of maintaining peace, security and law and order.

"Special attention must be paid to combating all types of crime and cooperating in law enforcement issues between countries," Kubrakov stated.

He added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus is interested in developing cooperation with the Mongolian law enforcement agency in many spheres. Among them are ensuring road safety and improving the legal status of citizens of the two countries, establishing practical contacts and exchanging best practices, including in training specialists.

Ivan Kubrakov noted the prospects of interaction within international organizations, such as the Meeting of Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the SCO member states. The organization takes effective measures to combat transnational crime and strengthen collective security.

"We have a system for training foreign law enforcement officers and are ready to provide all possible assistance in training Mongolian police officers. This could be the organization of short-term courses at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, or advanced training at the International Training Center of the capital's police university," the Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus said. In addition, Belarusian companies are ready to produce uniforms, shoes, and special equipment for Mongolian law enforcement officers.
