AKIPRESS.COM - Stones resembling beds and chairs in shape can be found on the Mount Ortok in Kochkor district, Naryn region. Head of Ortok village Rayimbek Salbarov told about them to Turmush regional news service.
"A long time ago, a wise man named Shaa Mashrup lived in Kochkor-Ata. He used to herd camels and when he was tired, he would lie down to rest on these stones. It is said that sitting on these stones he watched his camels. There are special notches on the stones for head, hands and feet, so that it was convenient to sit and lie down. People of any height can sit on the stones," he said.
"There is also another legend about the formation of these stones: during the Muslim night of power (Laylatul Qadr), stones became soft and deformed when someone lied on them. Many of the stones have names. Some people deliberately come here to make a wish and lie on stones," he shared.
