AKIPRESS.COM - The U.S. Embassy in Bishkek has announced a series of improvements to its visa scheduling system and information services for U.S. citizens. These improvements streamline the application process for immigrant and non-immigrant visa applicants.
The U.S. Embassy launched a new secure and easy-to-use website where non-immigrant and immigrant visa applicants can schedule regular visa appointments, request expedited emergency appointments, and schedule appointments for groups traveling together.
In addition, applicants will now have more convenient options to pay their visa application fees. They can visit any Kompanion Bank branch across the Kyrgyz Republic to pay in Kyrgyz som or pay online in U.S. dollars using the same new website.
U.S. citizens and visa applicants will also receive services from a new call center, which can answer general questions about non-immigrant and immigrant visa services and non-emergency topics for U.S. citizens in English, Kyrgyz, and Russian from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Bishkek time. The call center can be reached by email or phone.
U.S. citizens will also benefit from an updated website that provides current guidance for those traveling to or living in the Kyrgyz Republic. The new site provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding passport services, special consular services, and general guidance for travelers to the Kyrgyz Republic.
“The entire team at U.S. Embassy Bishkek is committed to providing efficient and accessible services to the Kyrgyzstani public and to our U.S. citizens abroad,” said Deputy Chief of Mission Liz Zentos. “These improvements will streamline the application process and make it easier for applicants to interact with our embassy.”
