AKIPRESS.COM - Chair of the Senate of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova in Baku. They discussed the prospects for further development of inter-parliamentary relations, UzA reports.

The parties noted that the practical action plan approved in 2022 in Tashkent, the roadmap for developing inter-parliamentary cooperation, has been fully implemented.

The sides signed a new roadmap for 2024-2025, aiming to raise cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries to a higher level.

The document provides for deepening relations, developing legislative activities through the exchange of visits between members of parliament, and improving the legal framework for cooperation in the development of science, education, healthcare, tourism, ecology, and intercultural relations.
