
AKIPRESS.COM - Non-resident Ambassador of Bhutan to Mongolia Vetsop Namgyel presented his credentials to President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa on June 17, the Office of the President of Mongolia reported.
President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa congratulated Ambassador of Bhutan Vetsop Namgyel upon presenting his credentials. President wished the Ambassador success in his new assignment.
The leader of Mongolia emphasized that even though Mongolia and Bhutan are geographically distant, the two countries have the potential to expand and develop relations and cooperation in all sectors based on common values, such as rich heritage and culture.
Newly appointed Bhutanese Ambassador Vetsop Namgyel expressed his contentment with the honor of being the first ambassador to serve since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries 12 years ago. The Ambassador also expressed his commitment to actively working towards intensifying relations and cooperation in various fields, such as politics, agriculture, education, culture, and health.
