Mongolia's total cultivated land decreases by 60,000 hectares

AKIPRESS.COM - 318,000 hectares of land have been cultivated in Mongolia as of June 1. Grains were planted on 236,000 hectares, technical plants on 52,900 hectares, fodder crops on 10,000 hectares, potatoes on 8,300 hectares, and vegetables on 7,200 hectares, GoGo reports.

The total cultivated land decreased by 59,900 hectares (15.8%) from the same period last year. Vegetables increased by 1,000 hectares (16.9%), cereals decreased by 55,400 hectares (19.0%), technical plants by 6,900 hectares (11.5%), potatoes by 2,500 hectares (22.9%), and fodder decreased by 400 hectares (3.8%).
